🚀 Intro to ChargedUp:

ChargedUp is the UK’s first and fastest-growing phone charging network, comprising over 1,500 stations in venues including M&S, Brewdog, and Stone Gate pubs. We are backed by JamJar (Innocent Smoothie founders), The Garage Soho (Tom Teichman and Sir John Hegarty), Founders Factory (Brent Hoberman) and more of London's top investors. As well as having a partnership with O2, giving users free daily charge across the UK, we'll be launching in Germany thanks to a partnership with Jägermeister.

Business Development Executive

You will focus on supporting the head of business development, finding new leads and partnerships to drive ChargedUp network growth, as well as sourcing and negotiating advertising/sponsorship partnerships. You will need to hit the ground running and rapidly develop a deep knowledge and understanding of the ChargedUp product, the roadmap, and customer base.

ChargedUp is a rapidly growing startup and therefore you will need to be flexible and data-driven, adapting your approach to focus relentlessly on the highest value opportunities, whether securing a new UK wide venue rollout or briefing our creative team on a Guinness activation. You are a great communicator, professional and credible at every level of an organisation, from CEO and below.

This role will report to the Head of Business Development.

Your responsibilities:

  • Engage with C-level partners and leadership team members through LinkedIn Reachouts, Face to Face meetings and phone calls
  • Attend meetings with Head of BD and follow-up effectively until deal closure
  • Work with our marketing/design teams to create custom proposals to support BD meetings
  • Create content to be shared across social channels to uplift B2B awareness of ChargedUp
  • Source and help organise ChargedUp participating in B2B events

Also assisting with:

  • Help support the international expansion of ChargedUp
  • Leveraging existing relationships to negotiate and close new deals to grow ChargedUp, as well as nurturing existing partnerships
  • Speaking and promoting ChargedUp at external B2B events
  • Advocating ChargedUp 24/7
  • Identifying, negotiating and closing awesome sponsors for the ChargedUp network
  • Synthesise customer feedback in a meaningful and actionable way to the product teams
  • Effectively represent ChargedUp at client meetings together with strategic partners

Your experience

  • You have some experience with identifying, reaching out to and closing new deals
  • You have great communication skills
  • You have an ability and willingness to learn quickly and get up to speed on all aspects of the business product and strategy
  • You are analytical and fully understand the RoI of each of our channels
  • You have strong customer empathy, emotional intelligence, and problem solving abilities
  • You have natural entrepreneurial spirit and drive to get deals done and push them live
